A couple of the many letters of thanks received during 2015 at Haverhill...
I enclose a cheque for the Eastern Region's Seniors Event that once again was so well and kindly hosted by Haverhill Golf Club.
Personally a huge thank you for all the time and effort you and all your helpers and friends put in to make the day run smoothly and successfully. Not sure if I will be running this next year, but I would like to say that you have been amazing - a breeze in the park for this particular organiser.
I just want to put in writing my comments I made to you about HGC.
As a new member I have been nothing short of amazed at what a great job you ALL do! From the food and bar to the office and the pro shop and of course the superb job the green keepers do. For £2 a day, I cannot believe what a good job is being done.
On top of this, there is the friendliness of the members who have made me feel so welcome and the numerous events and competitions that are put on.
For all these things to run so smoothly, the committee must be doing something right! Keep up the great work and thank you.
Just a very brief note to say thank you so much for all of your help yesterday. (Theatre Royal Celebrity Golf Day). We feel it was such a great success because of the support from all at Haverhill Golf Club. I know it would have been much harder without your own hard work. Please pass on the feedback to your bar staff as everybody said what a great day and what superb hospitality. Everyone thought the greens and the course were in great shape, a real credit to your greenstaff.
We would like to set a date for early April next year if this is possible. We believe we have raised in the the region of £2500/£3000 today for the Charity which is brilliant.
Fantastic day, thank you.
From the Committee at Haverhill Golf Club...
We can confirm that Karen Davies (formerly Wilby) was employed by Haverhill Golf Club from July 2009 until April 2016 in the role of Club Manager and Company Secretary.

During her 7 year involvement with the Club, Karen has been instrumental in raising the Club’s profile within Suffolk and East Anglia. She has been personally involved in a considerable number of initiatives which have ensured the Club has kept its sound financial foundations, whilst also establishing the additional benefits that all members can enjoy including the reciprocal arrangements with other clubs, free insurance cover, loyalty and fixed term membership schemes.
Karen has dealt effectively with a broad spectrum of clients and her project management experience has benefited the Club greatly during her appointment. Karen is leaving the Club in order to pursue her new business venture and the Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank Karen for all her hard work whilst employed at Haverhill Golf Club and wish her every success for the future.
